The opportunity came to spend a few days in Bermagui recently and with so many places of natural beauty and so much wildlife, it was too good an opportunity to pass up. As well as numerous beaches and headlands there’s the Burmagui Nature Reserve in town and just north, Wallaga Lake, an extensive and varied tidal waterway. As you’d expect there are plenty of water birds but also numerous smaller song birds and honeyeaters.
